4th International Workshop in Robotic Surgery for Southeastern Europe

The 4th International Workshop in Robotic Surgery for Southeastern Europe will be held at the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens from May 17th to May 21st 2010.
The International Workshops in Robotic Surgery are organized by the Medical School of the University of Athens and the Athens University Hospital "LAIKO" in cooperation with the Greek Association for Endoscopic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons and the MPL-Simulation Centre. All workshops are supported by PlusMedica, who kindly provide the da Vinci surgical system for practice.
In the 4th International Workshop sixteen trainee surgeons from Greece and the countries of SEE will attend the lectures of distinguished Greek and foreign surgeons, with significant presence in the field of Robotic Surgery in both Greece and Southeastern Europe.
After the theoretical part of the Workshop, trainees will be divided into groups according to their speciality (General Surgeons, Urologists and Gynaecologists) in order to participate in programs of practical training in experimental surgery on the application of robotic surgery da Vinci.
The successful organization of all Workshops, the interest and the participation of foreign surgeons at the Workshops, reveal that Athens in an international training Centre.
AFEA Travel & Congress Services is the official PCO, which is responsible for the organization and the administrative support of the Workshops.
