GB Marathon Runner participates in the Athens Classic Marathon

Hotel Grande Bretagne will participate in the 29th Athens Classic Marathon taking place on the 13th of November. The ‘GB Marathon Runner', a runner and employee of the hotel, has been training especially for this event.

Through this unique action, the hotel has collected an amount to be donated to a charity. The selection of the charity foundation to receive the donation, was through a 2-month open vote on our official Facebook page. "Médecins Sans Frontières Greece (MSF)" is the non-profit organization that was chosen out 5 other institutions and the total donation amount will be determined as follows:

• For every 1km of the 42km race that the runner completes, the donation amount will increase by €60.00

• For every reservation made of the «Athens Marathon» package, which was especially created for this occasion, the donation amount will increase by €10.00 per room/stay

Furthermore, a very interesting fact of this initiative is that the GB Marathon Runner updates our Facebook page with tips and news from his preparation workout. Finally, the day of the race will be broadcasted live from our website, with constant updates of photos from the race as well as the runners' route on a map.
