The Hilton Athens gives boost to "Together for Children" umbrella organisation

The Hilton Athens, with particular sensitivity toward children in need, is sponsoring the "Small Change, Big Difference" campaign for the second year with the aim of supporting the "Together for Children" union of children's organisations. Starting 1 October and until 31 December, the Hilton invites guests staying at the hotel to set aside €1 on their bill to go toward helping children who are indigent, have special needs or are suffering from serious illnesses.

It is an initiative of the Hilton in the Community Foundation, the charity organisation of the international Hilton hotel chain that was founded in 2000 and focuses on the care and education of children with special needs. The Hilton in the Community Foundation is funded by Hilton Worldwide, as well as by donations from employees, clients and suppliers. The "Small Change, Big Difference" campaign will be carried out simultaneously at 128 hotels in Europe, each of which will bolster a particular charity in its own country.

Bart van de Winkel, general manager at the Hilton Athens, stated: "This is worthwhile effort that we hope our clients will support for yet another year. With just €1, we can help "Together for Children," which helps children in need. Even a small amount from each of us can make the difference in the lives of these children."
