CHEF SOTIRIS EVANGELOU OF HOTEL GRANDE BRETAGNE CURATED A SPECIAL CULINARY EVENING IN PARIS
The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT), unveiled in Paris the limited-edition Greece Destination Guide, which is part of a carefully-crafted set of beautifully bound books published by Assouline. In order to celebrate this important event, a culinary evening was organized, curated by Sotiris Evangelou, Executive Chef of the Hotel Grande Bretagne. The chef's experience and natural talent as well as his knowledge of Greek cuisine created a perfect combination of flavors which ‘travelled' the guests to Greece, if only for one evening. French personalities attended and the evening was a complete success, as everyone was thrilled with the traditional dishes prepared by the chef of the Hotel Grande Bretagne.
The book is a passport to the brand's impressive portfolio in Greece - seven iconic hotels and resorts that span the country - making it The Luxury Collection brand's third largest market behind only the United States and India. The launch of the Greece Destination Guide signifies the brand's commitment to the region as a timeless and treasured destination among global explorers. One such global traveler, hailing from Hollywood royalty with a Greek heritage, is Zoe Cassavetes who will be featured as the guide's guest contributor.
"There is something very romantic about being in the present while being able to feel and see a time long past," said guest contributor Zoe Cassavetes. "Greece is completely unique in that way."
"Greece remains one of the world's most mesmerizing destinations, and we are thrilled to share this guide with our guests who we know have an insatiable appetite to travel, explore and discover," said Paul James,
Global Brand Leader, St. Regis(R) and The Luxury Collection Hotels & Resorts. "That Greece is our third largest market globally is a clear indication that the country's rich culture, distinctive heritage and indigenous treasures make it a 'must' for the most discerning travelers."
